It's normal not to know what to expect coming to therapy. I have my masters degree in Professional Counseling and am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri. I am not a doctor and I do not prescribe medication. The only mental health disorders I am unable to diagnose are autism and ADHD. I do specialize in working with people who have ADHD and/or are autistic.

First off, what is the "better" we are even chasing here? After therapy I want you to be able to live with an inner sense of peace, be able to explore your dreams with confidence, and have relationships that you feel respected in. It won't mean a life without hardship and suffering, however you will become an expert at climbing life's mountains with the right tools and conditioning. All I need to know is what you want, then trust me to help you get there.

Why do I even care so much anyway? I'm an autistic person who grew up on a farm in the country. I have always had a passion for plants and animals as well as the impact humans have on them. With age and life experience, as a person who feels things deeply, I came to see the interconnection between all living things. We evolved together within this delicate balance of time and space. This planet, revolving around this sun. The chaotic randomness of everything, yet somehow intricately designed to never be completely replicated. From the snow flake on the ground, to the cells that make up a leaf, to a strand of hair on your head. It's all beautiful and has its own right to flourish and become the most actualized and "healthy" version of itself possible. This is only possible within the right parameters of external and internal conditions. I strongly desire to see all living things thrive.

So I became a counselor and started growing a bunch of plants and bring my dog to work with me in hopes we can make a small difference to improve the balance of life globally.

I understand waiting can be frustrating, especially when it feels like there is no time to waste. That is where the other services available through Dimensional Drift come in. Explore multiple approaches to healing through ink therapy, red light therapy, and life coaching to help put out fires, find meaning, and become more comfortable in your own skin. And if you do decide to be added to the wait list, know when your time comes, you will receive the same high quality care as the clients who have come before you.

The modalities I use are person first and evidenced based, meaning they are supported by science.

Person Centered: This means I am mostly non-directive offering little to no advice and instead help you find your own goals and solutions

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): We work together to identify current thinking and behavior allowing you to evaluate new perspectives you may not have been able to see before

Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT): This is where CBT marries mindfulness creating a more holistic AND science based treatment approach

Attachment Based: The life experiences we have as children in many ways wire us to know what to expect from the future. Healthy relationships restore a secure attachment style which is characterized by trust and the ability to express your needs effectively. Put simply, you need to feel heard and understood.

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT): Without having to relive the trauma, we identify and change the upsetting thoughts you have about the trauma.
